Top Ten Tuesday

January 12, 2016

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish

So, I've been skipping on doing TTT because I've already scheduled posts with the set TTT topic.... and it's happened again. I already made a post about todays topic: Top Ten 2015 Releases I Meant To Get To But Didn't. So I've decided to choose a random topic that I hadn't done before. (A topic from the past TTT topic list of course.) What is this mysterious, rebel topic you may ask. Well I've chosen to do:

Top Ten popular authors I haven't read (yet)

(The original post can be found here.)

Without further ado let's get into it!

1. Morgan Matson

As some of you may already know, I don't really gravitate towards contemporary books. BUT I own Since You've Been Gone and Amy and Roger's Epic Detour and I really want to pick up both. Plus, Morgan is just a super sweet person, which is an extra bonus.

2. Leigh Bardugo

Now, now, please put your pitchforks away. I really want to read Leigh's books but, alas, I'm stubborn and I must own them all in hardcover in order for the reading to commence. (I do own Six of Crows though *thumbs up*)

3. Maggie Stiefvater

hahahhahaha whoops? I own the Raven Boys, and I started the Scorpio Races on audiobook.... but, I mean, I don't really count that as having already read her books.

4. Ransom Riggs

I also own Miss Peregrine's but... I don't know I'm never quite in the mood....

5. Stephanie Perkins

So many people love Stephanie and I know I need to read her books but *sigh* I'm not big on contemporary. Maybe someday though...

6. Stephan King

Not much explaining for this one. I'm just a huge baby when it comes to horror and Stephan King is basically the horror king. Haha his name is king... get it? No....

7. Brandon Sanderson

At the moment I really have no interest at all in reading any of Brandon Sanderson's books. Though, maybe in the future since a ton of people seem to love him.

8. Jenny Han

I own To all the Boys I've Loved Before but, once again, I'm not a big contemporary person. However, I'm definitely very interested in reading TATBILB but only when the time is right.

9. Tina Fey

Shhhh I know she isn't a full time author but I had to include her on this list. I love love love Tina and I really need to pick up Bossy Pants when I get the chance.

10. Melissa De La Cruz

Now I know Melissa has written more than a few books. But I'm more specifically referring to the book by her I have on my shelf right now: The Ring and the Crown. Hopefully i can pick that one up soon so I can say that I have read a book by her.

Bonus Round:

11. Richelle Mead

I'm not sure if I want to read Vampire Academy any more. However, I'm super excited for The Glittering court! I'll for sure be picking that book that up when it releases.

Thanks for bearing with me through my rebelliousness. *sigh* I'll for sure have the correct topic up next week.
Let me know what authors you haven't read yet, or if you could relate to any of my picks.

Thanks for reading and have a lovely day!
